<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Andrew was an important participant in the Unicode, WG2 and IRG communities for over 20 years. One of his earliest major contributions was to the successful encoding of Phags-pa script, with key details negotiated
at the 2005 WG2 meeting in Xiaman. And one of his last contributions was to provide valuable input on feedback submitted regarding Phags-pa. Of course, in between, he had so many impactful contributions on encoding of East Asian scripts. We all will pass from
this life; some of us will be fortunate to have the kind of enduring impact he had.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
