This is most sad news.
 
I remember Andrew West’s sincere commitment to encoding efforts, his calm yet persuasive way of reasoning and his true diligence, with admiration and gratefulness.
Only two weeks ago he was present at the WG2 Niigata meeting (via screen).
I will miss his voice.
My thoughts are with his widow and his family. Rest in Peace, Andrew.
