The problem is that many places want to give generic access to the most 
current version of CLDR data, without updating all their links. 
Therefore, we need to be sure whatever magic is applied to make them 
work, the "latest" version of these links continue to work.

Sorry, this was a transient problem while the download page was being updated for the release today. Links such as https://www.unicode.org/cldr/charts/latest/summary/ak.html <https://www.unicode.org/cldr/charts/latest/summary/ak.html> should be working again.

Hi Asmus,

The summary page seems to work fine for me now. You can access it by
clicking 'CLDR charts' on http://cldr.unicode.org/ , choose the latest
release version (or another version), and click "Summary". I agree it is
not easy to find, though.

At this point, we have to just throw up our hands. Sorry. The editorial committee has no writ or influence on what the CLDR-TC does with its subsite. We can't change anything there, and have very little visibility into how any of that site is generated and maintained.

You will need to take this up with the CLDR-TC, and in particular, with the main folks responsible for the subsite, as far as I know: Mark Davis and John Emmons.

This info is carried by annotations in the DTDs. Any attribute without
@VALUE and @METADATA is distinguishing.

I forget which part of the spec this is described in.
